Prior to attending law school, Attorney Pometto served in the U.S. Air Force for four years both stateside and abroad, in Okinawa, Japan. Attorney Pometto obtained the rank of E-4 in the military and performed duties as both a fighter jet mechanic and security forces Airman. He uses the discipline and work ethic he learned in the military to bolster his legal practice.
Pittsburgh Criminal Attorney Joe Pometto graduated from the University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate degree and Duquesne University School of Law for his law degree. While at Duquesne Law School, the faculty recognized Attorney Pometto’s trial advocacy skills as he was chosen to represent the school in two national trial advocacy competitions.
Attorney Pometto also has experience working with the Allegheny County Public Defender’s Office and the Allegheny County Veterans Court. His time with the Veterans Court was especially meaningful as it granted him the opportunity to help military veterans who found themselves struggling within the criminal justice system.
